Size and Appearance

The Shark NV752 and the Shark NV652 vacuum models are exactly the same weight. The entire vacuum weighs in at 15.6 pounds with the Lift-Away pod only weighing 8 pounds. They are also the same height at about 46 inches, which is a comfortable height for most people. Each of these are also mainly made with a mixture of ABS and PP plastics, and with some rubber and metal parts included.

In color and design, these models are also pretty much identical. They are rather slender enough to maneuver comfortable. These models are silver and the color of your choice, with silver being predominant, such as on the front of the Lift-Away pod. As for your color choice, these vacuums are offered in steel gray, rose gunmetal, and Bordeaux.

Power

These vacuums are both powerful enough to clean your floor deeply and effectively. While powerful, it is important to note that these vacuums are corded, so the length of the cord is important for mobility. Fortunately, these cords are both 30 feet long, so they are long enough to offer the movement you need to clean your entire house.

Performance

With the same power and size, these vacuums are both wonderful at cleaning. However, some customers did complain that the True Pet Mini Motorized Brush on the Shark NV752 had been redesigned to be smaller. This would be a plus for this model, except we came across quite a few customers that reported that the suction on this newer design was considerably weaker than that of its predecessor, the Shark NV652.

Cleaning

There are a couple of concerns when you are cleaning the various aspects of your vacuum. First, the pre-motor filters need to be cleaned about every 3 months for the pre-motor filter and every 12 months for the post-motor filter. These can simply be cleaned by rinsing them with warm water and leave them to air dry for 24 hours.

Cleaning the dust cup is simple as well and takes less time. You simply hold your dust cup over the trash can and hit the release button for the bottom to open – there is no need to touch or come into contact with any of the dirt and dust you picked up. Tapping the dust cup can help to empty hard to remove contents. If you notice that this isn’t working, the dust cup can be easily cleaned by wiping it with a soft cloth.

Capacity

For vacuums, it is important to consider the capacity of the dirt and dust cup of the model, since this affects how often you must stop and empty the dust cup while you clean. For both the Shark NV652 and the NV752, the capacity of the dirt cup is 3.3 dry quarts. Both these dust cups can easily be emptied by a quick, simple release at the bottom-release. If there is dirt caught in the container, though, you can open the top to clean it out more thoroughly.

Durability

Since vacuums are supposed to be a long-term investment in home cleaning, it is important that they last long enough for you to get your money’s worth out of it. Neither of these had any problems with their motors failing nor the vacuum dying suddenly. However, the Shark NV752’s attempt to make its accessories slightly smaller failed once again since the wand on this vacuum has a tendency to break.

Accessories

Both the Shark NV652 and the Shark NV752 come with the same set of cleaning accessories. Although, if what you need isn’t included, Shark does sell separate accessories for these vacuums. The Dusting Genie is a combination of tools, both a wand to clean difficult crevices and a brush that can clean multiple surfaces. The Dusting Brush, Upholstery Brush, and the Hard Floor Genie are fairly self-explanatory in their name and aid in helping users clean every possible surface. Convenient Features

There is more to these vacuums than just the accessories that make them powerful and thorough cleaning machines. There are 3 cleaning modes for these vacuums, allowing you to clean different types of flooring in your home rather than just carpet. The system of filters that these vacuums have helps to trap allergens and dust, so you are cleaning your air as well as your floors. Perhaps the most useful features, though, is the Lift-Away feature. This, especially helps you to clean difficult spots such as under the furniture.

Warranty

The standard LLC warranty for both the Shark NV752 and the NV652 is a limited warranty of 7 years. This warranty promises 7 years of a product that is free from manufacturer’s defaults. However, if you buy your vacuum directly from the Shark/Ninja website, you are eligible for a VIP warranty that provides either a 5-year or lifetime VIP service guarantee. Shark also has a free maintenance, lifetime guarantee for both the belt and filter of these vacuums.

Pros and Cons

These vacuums are both extremely efficient, although as far as the cleaning accessories go, the Shark NV652 is the star. They also both have Shark’s Lift-Away technology, making it so you don’t have to move furniture every time you want to vacuum. These models also use multiple filters which allow them to truly trap all dust and allergens inside the vacuum.

Unfortunately, there are some problems. The Shark NV652 was once recalled for potential electric shock but has since been revised to rid it of that problem. The Shark NV752, on the other hand, there have been a number of durability complaints about the Shark NV752. Overall, however, most customers are very satisfied with their choice in both of these vacuums. In addition, the Shark NV752 is far less budget friendly than the Shark NV652. Although a sale could change the steep difference in price.
