Before you buy a product, you should always do your research.

Make sure that features and specs and customer reviews make you comfortable.

We use our experience with different consumer goods across many different categories to give you insight into what using that product might actually be like, how long it will last, etc. For example, we know that products will eventually die, so along our research process, we ask ourselves will this thing stop working suddenly or will its performance whittle over time. We consider the big stuff, like dimensions, overall customer ratings and performance.

We believe that overall average ratings are very important; People, inherently, have differing behaviors which leads to different product use patterns. So, for example, if a set of clippers is ranked highly by 2,000 different customers, then there is a good chance that it will work well for you, as well. But there could be quirks, does that set of clippers jam on thicker hair?

Sometimes it is the little things…

We like to find out if a product has peculiarities, quirks, interesting design, gasket issues, etc. It’s the little things, that could be big to you. And these little things aren’t always bad things. Sometimes there’s an important attribute about a product, that the company for some reason or no reason at all, simply doesn’t advertise.

Where we can, we get hands on experience with the product so that we have even more insight.

For example, we recently purchased a waterpik wp-100 and that while it is a great product, it is also very loud. I would never use it in the morning when my family was sleeping. This information may or may not influence your decision (if you were in the market for a new water flosser).

We hope to provide you with at least some value on your journey to purchase whatever it is that you do.
