Kohler Bellera

Both Kohler faucets are constructed from solid metal and have a sleek and stylish design. Their glossy and modern look make them a right fit in any kitchen. To be able to accommodate large and tall pots or pans in the sink, the faucets are designed with high arc spouts, leaving adequate room for maneuvering.

There is however some very obvious differences in the design style towards the base of the faucets. While the Bellera features a slim streamlined stem connecting the spout to the base, the Cruette’s stem is bulbous in shape and has a more rounded appearance. The Bellera can be likened to a graceful swan while the Cruette resembles a delicate teapot.

Color

Both faucets are available in three separate color finishes: Oil-Rubbed Bronze, Polished Chrome and Vibrant Stainless Steel. For the first two color schemes, the beauty of the faucets can get dimmed over time due to fingerprints and water spots, and as such they require frequent wipe-downs to stay clean. For the stainless steel finish, virtually nothing is capable of sticking to the surface and detracting from its beauty. The finishes are designed to be resistant to all kinds of rusting and chipping.

Installation

If you’ve never installed a faucet before, installing these Kohler faucets might prove tricky and quite difficult. For users having significant experience in installing faucets, the Bellera or Cruette would be a breeze to set up in your kitchens. The accompanying instruction guide on the installation process is sufficiently lacking, and this also contributes to installation difficulties for first time DIYers.

The installation of the Cruette requires either a one- or three-hole setup. If you have two or four holes, additional parts may need to be purchased before the faucet can be installed. The Bellera on the other hand, has a wider range of installation options, being able to be used in either a one-, two-, three-, or four-hole setup.

Retractable Spray Head Feature

These faucets feature a detachable spray head combined with a lightly braided hose that can be extended over long distances and still replaced back into its original position on the faucet with little or no effort on the part of the user.

The faucets achieve these by virtue of some key Kohler technologies. The DockNetik Magnetic Docking System is a magnetic system designed by Kohler and located in the spout. This system serves to lock the spray head in place, ensuring that no matter the distance the hose is extended to, the spray head can easily slide back into the spout. For the braided hose, the ProMotion Nylon Hose and Ball Joint technology ensures that it smoothly extends whenever the spray head is detached by swiveling on a ball joint. This makes handling the hose way easier and more comfortable.

The Kohler’s MasterClean Sprayface is a feature designed into the spray head that helps to prevent the build-up of minerals.

All these features offer immense benefits as the magnetic support system ensures the hose retracts well and the spray head is securely held in place. The strong magnetic grip eliminates the possibility of the spray head dangling loose and getting damaged.

Spray Modes

Kohler Cruette

These faucets have two major spray modes when the spray head is still attached to its original position in the spout. These are the powerful spray mode and the aerated stream mode. In the stream mode, water comes out in a gentle and steady aerated stream and can be used for regular cleaning or to fill up pots and pans. The more powerful spray is used in situations requiring a larger water force, as it creates a broad, sweeping stream of water for better cleaning purposes. It can also be used in removing hard-to-clean food off sink and dishes

The nozzle itself once detached from the spout can operate in three spray modes: spray, stream, and pause. The stream and spray modes function as described earlier, while the pause mode grants users the ability to stop the water flow temporarily while moving the hose over the counter or switching between different kitchen tasks. With the pause function, the water flow can be switched off for a few minutes without shutting off the main spout.

Both Kohler faucets have the same flow rate of about 1.8 GPM (Gallons per Minute)
