Vornado 533

The Vornado 533 is significantly smaller than the Vornado 633 in every dimension from width to weight. The Vornado 533 also has two color options; a matte black or a polar white. Unfortunately, the white model still has a black cord which is a complaint for some customers. It also features Vornado’s alternative to oscillation, which is a head that can be tilted and deep pitched blades to increase air circulation. This fan is made to be set on a table for use and since it is so small, it won’t take up too much space either.

In a side by side picture, the Vornado 533 and Vornado 633 look identical in shape and the materials used to create it. The Vornado 633’s slightly larger size makes it a little more burdensome to set on a table, but it isn’t an inordinate amount of difference. It also features the tilt head and deep pitched blades that the Vornado 533 has.

Unfortunately, for the Vornado 533, one of its biggest drawbacks come from a higher rate of issues. These include problems with the motor of the fan in some cases and others the fan suddenly stops working with no noticeable explanation. Both these fans are praised for their durability to outlast not only their warranty, but other fans made of plastic on the market. These compliments are not only in reference to the strong motor in them, but also to the exterior of the fans themselves. Neither of these fans are prone to cracking or wearing down and they won’t tilt when you set them up. However, neither of these products are perfect. The Vornado 533 seems to run into issues more frequently, with minor complaints such as a black cord on a white fan to larger complaints about failing motors. The Vornado 633 isn’t without complaint either and some customers complained that the instructions to remove the grill of the fan were incorrect in the box. While this isn’t product breaking, it does make what should be an easy job unnecessarily difficult.
